Car shipping from Florida to Texas is easy to arrange, and we’ll explain how simple it is with the following three steps.

Step One: Request a quote and book your order

To get your quote, all you have to do is use our online quote calculator. Simply provide a few details of your shipping, and you’ll find out the cost with just a few clicks. If you’d prefer to speak with someone in person, you can reach our shipping advisors at (864) 546-5038 or use our Live Chat option.

The details we need are as follows (make sure you’ve got them near and handy):

  • Pick-up and delivery locations (zip code or city)
  • Year, make, and model of your vehicle
  • Type of transport service you require (open or enclosed)
  • The condition of your vehicle (is it running or not)
  • The date when your vehicle will be ready for shipping

If you’re happy with the price, you can go ahead and book your order. The next thing for you to do is get your car ready for shipping. There are a few little jobs to do to ensure a smooth car shipping experience.

  • Clean the interior and exterior of your vehicle: While you’re doing this, you can check for dents, dings, scratches, and chips. (You need to record this existing damage on the Bill of Lading).
  • Photograph any damage you find.
  • Check the fluids are topped up, in a standard car the battery must be fully charged, and the tires correctly inflated. If you're shipping an EV, the cells or battery packs should be at a 45% - 65% state of charge for safety reasons.
  • Secure or remove any removable parts such as your car charger, GPS, after-market stereo, or DVD-player.
  • Deactivate the alarm, toll tags, and parking passes.
  • Run down the gas tank to around one-quarter full.

Step Two: A carrier picks up your vehicle

We will assign a carrier to pick up your vehicle, and you should receive a phone call from them a couple of hours ahead of collecting your vehicle. This is to let you know they’re on their way.

This is also the time you confirm that the pick-up location is suitable for large commercial vehicles. You need to check there are no low-hanging branches, overhead power cables, or parking restrictions that might hinder the driver.

If there is an issue don’t let it worry you because there is bound to be a more suitable location. Perhaps there’s a nearby street that’s wider, a parking lot, or the carrier could pick up your vehicle from where you work.

When the carrier arrives, you’ll inspect your vehicle together, noting any existing damage on the Bill of Lading. You then sign this important document, keeping a copy for future reference.

With the paperwork side of the process out of the way, the carrier can load your vehicle onto the trailer and be on their way. You can expect to see them again in a few days at your final delivery location.

Step Three: You receive your vehicle

When the Texas car shipping company is a few hours away from the delivery location, they’ll give you a call and check you’re available to receive your car. There is the option of nominating a third party if you think you’ll be unavailable. It might be a work colleague, family member, or friend. They do, however, have to be 18 years of age or older.

You will be asked to check the condition of your vehicle and compare it with the Bill of Lading. This is also the time when you pay the final payment to the driver, if you choose the Discounted Price payment option.
