That is where the thought of building a carrier network was born, and from that day forward, it has been one of our main focuses. We set out to establish clear standards for what we believe is a fair service, with a vision of the future, that showed us that, although difficult, it is possible to be fair in an industry where profit margins are the bottom line.

Building Trust One Shipment at a Time

We started small, as one would, with a single shipment from New York to New Jersey - it was a short distance, but it definitely felt like the start of something great. And we built on that, even from that first moment, we knew how we’d like to shape our corner of the industry, and that trust was the basis of it all. So we focused on customer service, because at the end of the day, you want to trust the people who are handling your vehicle. Those 12 years have been very eventful for our team; we grew more than 800% in the span of a few years, and established ourselves as one of the most trustworthy car transport companies, not only on the East Coast, but also in the U.S. as a whole. We develop new systems and ways to optimize both internal processes, but also external interactions with both customers and carriers. We developed our own tools, tools forged from the need to persevere and to adapt, but also made from our need to lead, rather than react to the outside world. This has shaped us as a company, and has made us into what we are today - one of the most trusted, renowned, and sought-after car shipping companies in the U.S.

Expanding Across the Nation

Our expansion across the nation started from Bohemia, New York, the location of our headquarters. Even with the first shipment from New York, New York, to New Jersey, we felt the pull of adventure and wanted to explore even further. So we established relationships with carriers all across the country, which gave us access to every corner of the country. After New Jersey, we focused on Florida, then Texas, and California.

With the expansion came the need to invest in better carriers and better services. Those were the cornerstones of what was to come next - we knew that the quality of our services would be a bottleneck, as it is for so many companies. We focused on the continuity of our services and found a way to be true to those initial principles. As a company grows, there’s always a risk of losing touch with those initial ideals that started it all - but at SGT, we keep an eye on where we started from - because our origins also shape our future.

Reaching New Milestones

As the years rolled by, so did the milestones we celebrated, each one building us up. In 2015, we opened a new location in Greenville, South Carolina, which marked the very first emerging proof of our growth. We stabilized our company and continued our expansion, and in 2016, developed our own dispatch, support, and claims departments. We expanded our team, which led to a thorough digitalization of our entire operation in 2018. In 2019, we marked one of our biggest milestones, over 60,000 successfully shipped cars. Thanks to our dedicated developer team, we’ve made numerous internal tools that streamline our process, ensure service quality and informational fidelity, which has helped us make smarter, better decisions for us as a company and for the people.
