Open car transport: this is the most cost-effective and popular way to get your vehicle from point A to point B. With open car transport, your vehicle is loaded onto a double-decker trailer with several others, for the most efficient routing and simplest loading and unloading. The car is exposed to weather and possibly road grit, but it’s by far the method most people prefer. 

Enclosed car transport: for an enhanced level of security, enclosed car transport means your vehicle is loaded into a trailer where it’s protected on all four sides, then sealed up and locked in for its entire trip. Enclosed car transport does come at a premium price, and availability of transport drivers can be problematic. 

Guaranteed pickup: we’re committed to getting the job done right, and with guaranteed pickup your driver will be there to load your vehicle at a prearranged time and date (with a 30-minute window plus or minus), and it will make it to its destination at a specific time as well. 

Express car shipping: while it’s preferable that you give us a couple of weeks lead time for your auto shipping job, we can also pick up and deliver a vehicle on a hotshot basis (at extra cost). 

White-glove shipping: for a very fragile, rare or high-dollar car, white-glove shipping means premium handling, monitoring and tracking at every turn.

DOT regulations prohibit personal items and vehicles being shipped together. It’s advisable that you remove any personal gear, but it’s okay to ship 100 pounds worth of personal items if they’re locked up in the trunk or cargo space. 

If your vehicle can’t start, steer, run, drive and stop under its own power, please let us know in advance. We do ship non-running cars (such as a project car that needs to make it to a specialized shop), but it means special equipment and more time on the part of the transport driver.

Make sure all four tires are inflated, the battery is charged, and headlights and taillights work. 

Don’t forget to get a copy of the ignition key to your transport driver.

Remember that curb weight is a big part of the equation when calculating shipping rates. It’s best if your vehicle has less than a quarter tank of gas, as this will help keep weight down.

If your vehicle has any mechanical quirks (as many vintage cars or project cars might), you might consider leaving the driver a “cheat sheet” of anything he might need to know. 

You’ll be asked to do a condition report on the vehicle at the time of pickup, as will the driver. It’s a good idea to give your car a good wash job and interior cleaning, it would make it easier to spot any scratches or defects.
