Open car transport: this is the most popular way to get your car from point A to point B. Open car transport means your vehicle will be loaded onto a double-decker trailer along with several others, much like the kind of rig that services car dealerships. It will leave your car exposed to sun and weather, but it’s the most cost-effective method that we offer. 

Enclosed car transport: if you need an enhanced level of protection for a rare, high-dollar or very delicate car, enclosed car transport is a good choice. Your vehicle will be loaded into a trailer and then locked in for its entire trip, giving it protection on all four sides and keeping it away from curious onlookers. Enclosed car transport does come at a premium cost, and availability of drivers and trailers might be  more difficult.

Guaranteed pickup and delivery: nobody has time to wait around and sync up with their transport driver on moving day. Guaranteed pickup and delivery is your assurance that your transport driver will arrive at a prearranged time and date (plus or minus 30 minutes) and that delivery will be just as punctual.

Express auto shipping: while it’s preferable that you give SGT Auto Transport a couple of weeks of lead time to schedule your logistics, we know that things come up and sometimes there’s not the luxury of having that much time. We can arrange hotshot pickup and delivery (although premium charges might apply) for last-minute, priority shipping.

Don’t forget to get your transport driver’s phone number for check-ins, and don’t forget to get him a copy of the ignition key. 

Make sure your battery is charged, all four tires are inflated, and headlights and taillights work. 

People do need to transport non-running vehicles sometimes, such as a project car that needs special service in another part of the country. It’s something we need to know about in advance, though; a vehicle that can’t run and drive under its own power requires special equipment and more time for loading. 

Please remove any detachable accessories such as cargo boxes, bike racks or antennas. 

Try to remember to ship your vehicle with less than a quarter tank of gas. Curb weight is a big part of shipping costs, and less fuel in the tank means less weight. 

Your driver will ask you to do a quick inspection of the car’s condition (taking photos is a good idea too), and he will do the same. It would be a good idea to give your car a good wash job first, as that would make it easier to spot dings, scrapes or minor defects.
